Terms for using Watchdog.

The service and its limits

Watchdog monitors jobs that run in your own infrastructure using the events and configuration you supply. It can detect reported failures, missed expected starts and runtime deadlines, plus optional progress, tool and outcome checks. It does not execute your agent, inspect your process or Kubernetes pod, or establish that a business result is correct without an appropriate configured check.

Detection depends on telemetry arriving, realistic limits, background processing and configured alert destinations. A missing signal can have several causes. We do not guarantee detection of every failure, uninterrupted availability or successful delivery of every alert. Do not rely on Watchdog as the sole safeguard for safety-critical or time-critical operations.

Your account and instrumentation

Provide accurate account information and protect your password, sign-in access and telemetry keys. You are responsible for the jobs and data you connect, for having authority to send that data, and for keeping alert destinations current. Verify your first run and alert delivery before relying on monitoring. Do not send the sensitive content described in our privacy policy, abuse the service, attempt unauthorized access or bypass usage limits.

Automatic cancellation and retries are off by default. If you enable runtime controls, your runtime must implement and authenticate them. Pausing Watchdog monitoring does not stop the underlying agent.

Plans and payment

Developer is free. Pro costs US$19 per month and renews monthly through Stripe until cancelled. The plan’s job, history and event allowances are shown in billing help and Account & billing. The amount due is shown in checkout. Watchdog does not automatically charge telemetry overages; excess events are rejected.

You can cancel renewal in the Stripe billing portal. Paid access continues until the paid period ends, followed by the configured seven-day downgrade grace period. After that, two selected jobs remain monitored and the rest pause, subject to confirmation of current billing status. Cancellation does not automatically refund an already paid period. Contact support about billing errors or refund requests; rights required by applicable law are not limited by these terms.

Support and changes

Developer includes documentation and best-effort replies; Pro includes email support. There is no fixed response-time or 24/7 commitment. We may address abuse, security issues or non-payment by restricting access. We publish material changes to these terms with an updated date and provide appropriate notice for changes affecting existing subscriptions.

To stop using the service, cancel any paid renewal, stop sending telemetry and request account deletion. Retention exceptions and provider records are explained in the privacy policy.
